Expand Mobile Health in Burundi

Initially the Mobile Health Service was fully funded by Brian and his wife, which significantly limited its reach. Currently our team is able to move around only a small area – as the demands are so great. We are treating hundreds of patients every week, however there are hundreds of thousands with similar needs.

The demands are such that we desperately need more teams of nurses on motorcycles, along with better diagnostic equipment and supply of medication to reach further into the communities around the Ubuntu Clinique. Our dream is to have multiple teams reaching out into ever wider areas of Burundi, and linking in with other medical clinics that are willing to share our vision. Likewise, the influx of MHS patients to the Ubuntu Clinique for treatment and surgery is putting the already crowded hospital under pressure to meet the needs. There are plenty of nurses available, the limiting factor is funding.
